About the Practitioner
Hello, my name is Angela Moffat. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in Scottsdale, Arizona and also a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
I received my training from RainStar University of Massage Therapy. I graduated with an AAS Degree in Therapeutic Massage in 2005. Unfortunately, this school has since closed. After I graduated, I moved away from Arizona to Denver, Colorado. Since I had lived in Arizona my whole life, I think I just needed a change. I learned to love the mountains and that's right, even the snow! After 5 years in Colorado, it was time to move back home. I love Colorado and plan to visit again but I am so happy to be back in the valley of the sun and around family. Moving back has inspired me to go into practice for myself. I feel that I have more experience and can really bring all that I have learned (and am still learning) to the table (pun intended)!
I am very passionate about what I do. I provide personalized assessments and specific treatment plans for each individual because no one person is alike. I feel that over the past 7 years I have become more intuitive with my work and that really helps in assessing the body's discomfort levels, and where someone "holds their stress," whether they realize it or not.
I do what I do because I love it! I cannot imagine doing anything else. I could not do what I do without receiving massages on a regular basis myself. I am also a big advocate for self care and am very dedicated to improving myself and knowledge of massage therapy and the body. I try to extend the knowledge I have to others while bringing more awareness to mind and body connectedness. I have taken several hours of continuing education already including Neuromuscular Therapy, Prenatal Massage, Lymphatic Balancing, and Sports Massage. I plan on continuing to grow and learn as I build my practice in the years to come.
